The making of "Big Buddha"

This is how I made my Big Buddha picture. The Big Buddha and the sky I shot myself, and the birds are stock pictures I found online.

How it was shot.

Added some contrast and some light on the statue.

Bringing in a new sky.

Masked out the sky.

Cutting out Big Buddha and put him on a separate layer and made him bigger than he actually is.

Bringing in the birds and some color change.

Added some contrast and sharpened the picture.

Added a sun and warmer color to the whole picture. Finito!
